Haven - “Have a Haven summer” TV ad and stills 2022
Across all our stills shoots for Haven, we work with their partner UltraSharp films who join us to capture library footage alongside our imagery. In Summer 2022, Haven commissioned an edit to be aired on TV using footage from those shoots while the images ran across email, brochure, website and DM. It was amazing to see footage from our shoots on TV and we loved the script by Platform London - scroll down for the final edit and the stills from the shoot.

One team, one dream
This ad is a great example of the value in shooting stills and video concurrently. It’s so important to have a team who can work well together, ensuring both stills and moving image teams can capture what they need to. Alongside this it helps to have one team running the production, so logistics work smoothly and the shoot runs like clockwork.
To food stylist or not to food stylist
With a lot of experience shooting with food and beverage brands in a previous life, we’re quite attuned to what it takes to make food look good on camera, and at what point to bring in a food stylist. For this shoot we decided against it, as the food is very much a prop to set the scene of the restaurant and not the focus of the image. But it still takes careful consideration in terms of composition of the table, balancing which colour foods and drinks will work well together and the number of plates on the table. Add in some kids who are fussy eaters and it goes take a while to get right! But if in doubt, we say bring in a stylist to manage all of this.
